The University of Rome's Sapienza University Press recently published Facing Melville, Facing Italy: Democracy, Politics, Translation, edited by John Bryant, Giorgio Mariani, and Gordon Poole. This volume is the first in an important series, Studies in American Literature and Culture, edited by Giorgio Mariani. This series is the first truly international American Studies series to emerge.
